Day 1: Our Driver will pick you up at airport and transfer to Chalcedony  hotel. Overnight at Chalcedony hotel. ( No Meal)

Day 2: After having Breakfast, you will join Hanoi city tour day trip with water puppet show :( B/L)

Hanoi Capital is located on the banks of the Red River with tranquil HoanKiemLake at its heart, Hanoi is the capital of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. North of the lake are the bustling streets of the Old Quarter, each street named after the trade that used to take place there. Sightseeing with a Local Guide; water puppets performance; visit Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Museum, Presidential Palace, and Temple of Literature.

AM: 08:00 – 08:30: Pick up at your hotel (join tours will free pick up all points in Hoan Kiem, Hanoi). Then visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum to explore the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho’s final resting-place. Just next door is Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts and lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda which was founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049 – the structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi. We then continue on to the QuanThanh Temple (Taoist – dating from the Ly Dynasty) and the Buddhist Tran Quoc Pagoda on the West lake (One of the oldest pagoda in Vietnam). Then visit Bat Trang pottery village (apply on Mon, Wed & Fri). Lunch at local restaurant.

PM: After lunch we’ll proceed to visit the Ethnology Museum (apply on Sun, Tue, Thu & Sat), the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam. We’ll also see Vietnam’s first university, constructed in 1070 –  it’s gardens and well-preserved architecture will offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past. We will take you past HoanKiem Lake to see the peaceful waters, and the beauty of Ngoc Son temple. For the last part of the tour we’ll journey through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, where you’ll then have a chance for some shopping and exploration. Tour ends around 15h30 – 16h00.

Notes:

  • Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum close on Monday and Friday morning.
  • The itinerary can be changed due to weather, tide levels and operating conditions.
  • Special request (diet or vegetarian …) should be sent before your departure date.
  • Water Puppet show for Deluxe option only, a traditional performance that dates back as far as the 11th century in the villages of the Red River Delta area of northern Vietnam. Then the tour will finish around 16h30 – 17h00.
  • Bat Trang pottery village will be visited on Mon, Wed & Fri (without Ethnology Museum). Ethnology Museum will be visited on Sun, Tue, Thu & Sat (without Bat Trang pottery village).

Day 3: Check out Hotel in Hanoi and join Halong Bay with two nights on Board as below: (B/L/D)

7.30 – 08.00 Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi. Drive to Halong City through the paddy fields in the Red River Delta.

10.00 Stopover on the way for refreshments
12.00 – 12.30 Arrive at Tuan Chau Wharf – Break and photo opportunities at Pelican Private Lounge
12.30 Transfer by tender to the boat
13.00 – 13.30 Check in and enjoy Welcome Drink, receive cruise briefing and safety instructions.
13.30 – 15.00 Start cruising. Enjoy lunch buffet with Vietnamese and International dishes served while the cruising through the bay
15.10 – 16.30 Visit Bat cave by bamboo boat or kayaking based on your preference. Enjoy quiet space and pure air, you will feel relaxed truly. If lucky, you will have
chance to see monkeys on islands.
17.15 – 17.50 Visit the beautiful Soi Sim beach for swimming (if the weather permits) or you can reach on the top of Soi Sim beach to have a panorama view of Halong Bay.
17.50 – 18.15 Back to the boat and free time. Massage service if order.
18.30 – 19.00 Cooking class on sundeck – How to make Vietnamese spring rolls. Then enjoy Happy Hour (buy two drink, get one free from 18.00 to 19.00). It is time for chit chat and relaxing.
19.30 – 21.30 Dinner – Deluxe Vietnamese and International Set Menu Dinner
21.30 – 23.00 Evening activities include: Leisure time to enjoy a chat around the bar. Watching movies and many sorts of Vietnam cultural films. Relaxing and spending a romantic night on Pelican Cruise’s music. Playing cards, chess are available, reading magazines in room and dining room. Passengers may also try their luck with squid fishing from the boat.

Day 04:  Halong Bay – Bai Tu Long Bay – Halong Bay.

06.15 – 06.45 Enjoy Tai Chi instruction on the sundeck (duration about 30 minutes).
07.00 – 08.00 Coffee, tea and breakfast pastries is served in the dining room
08.30 – 10.30 Transfer to another boat to Vung Vieng fishing village. Have 2 hours for cruising. Time for sun bathing on sundeck, enjoy beauty of Bay (if the weather permits)
10.30 – 11.15 Visit exciting Vung Vieng fishing village by local rowing boat, the village is free from busy roads and streets, and skyscraper. Instead, there are only a few of boats and rafts. You will have chance to discover traditional culture and customs of fishermen.
11.15 Back to cruising. Vietnamese Lunch is served on boat.
12.30 – 14.00 Kayaking and swimming at Vung Ha, a pristine natural beach lapped by turquoise water. Possibility of kayaking through an amazing tunnel carved under a limestone mountain.
14.30 – 16.30 Cruise back to Pelican Cruises. Free time on boat
18.00 – 19.00 Enjoy Happy Hour with nice music (buy two drinks, get one free)
19.30 Dinner – Deluxe Vietnamese and International Set Menu Dinner.

Day 05:  Halong Bay – Hanoi.

06.15 – 06.45 Enjoy Tai Chi instruction on the sundeck (duration about 30 minutes)
07.00 – 07.45: Coffee, tea and breakfast pastries is served in the dining room
07.45 Transfer by tender to the Sung Sot Cave. Walk up about 100 steps to the cave entrance and tour the cave for approximately 45 minutes. Walk down about 100 steps and return to the boat. Proper shoes are highly recommended
09.00 – 9.30 Return to the boat then check-out and payment at reception area.
10.00 Have buffet brunch while cruising back through Halong Bay to the pier. Relax on the sundeck or in the dining room enjoying the bay scenery as we approach the pier.
11.30 Transfer by tender to Tuan Chau pier. Time to say goodbye to the crew
12.00 – 12.30 Return from Halong to Hanoi by shuttle bus.
14.00 Stop over the middle to visit a ceramics workshop
16.30 Arrive in Hanoi.
End of the trip.

Day 6: After having breakfast, you will join Hoa Lu Tam Coc ( B/L)

7:50 – 8:40: Our modern bus and guide pick up at your address then depart for Ninh Binh province.

10:00: Arrive at Hoa Lu, the ancient citadel of Viet Nam in the 10th century, visit temples of two dynasties Dinh and Le, our tour guide will tell you the stories of 2 kings and Queen Duong Van Nga, the tragedy in royal family, after that visit the excavation area beside the Le Dai Hanh temple.

Proceed the cycling tour from Hoa Lu to Tam Coc around 8 km along country rivers and rice fields. Arrive at Tam Coc wharf at noon. Have lunch at a local restaurant with direct view to Ngo Dong river in Tam Coc (you have chance to enjoy the delicious goat meat and elderberry – the special dishes in Ninh Binh)

14:00: Get on sampan boat rowed by the locals going among the villages, mountains and rice fields. Pass through 3 caves “Hang Ca, Hang Hai, Hang Ba”. Then back to wharf to take a rest and get on bus to Hanoi.

18:00: Arrive in Hanoi. Our tour guide say good bye to you at your address.

Hoa Lu Tam Coc One Day Tour is finished.

Day 8: After having Breakfast, you will join Cao Dai Temple – Cu chi Tunnels day trip ( B/L)

HCM – Tay Ninh – Cu Chi – HCM ( start 8.00 – return 18.00 )

 The Great Holy See Temple, built in 1926, is considered one of the most striking structures in all of south-east Asia. It is the centre of Cao Dai sm, a religion that blends Buddhism, Christianity and Confucianism. Explore this fascinating site and attend the colorful noon-day mass held by the Cao Dai followers. It is an experience not to be missed. After lunch, visit the Cu Chi Tunnels.

The Great Holy See Temple, built in 1926, is considered one of the most striking structures in all of South-East Asia. It is the headquarters of the unique Cao Dai sect, a religion with a hybrid of Buddhism, Christianity & Confucianism. Above the entrance is the all-seeing holy eye – symbol of the sect. Visitors will attend the midday ceremony’s extravaganza to witness the daily mass held by the Cao Dai followers which is a fantastic experience. After lunch, proceed to Cu Chi to explore the amazing site where Viet Cong hid during the War. It is now a popular spot for both Vietnamese & foreign tourists –the network of over 200km of tunnels became legendary when they played a vital role in the War. In their heyday, the tunnels were functioning underground cities including numerous trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers & kitchens. There is plenty of evidence of the fierce battle that took place here during the 1960s when Cu Chi was a “Free Target Zone”. Visitors can watch a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed before entering the tunnels. Spend the next hour exploring the tunnels. Afterwards, enjoy tea, cassava (guerrilla’s food in war time). Return to SaiGon.- Overnight at hotel

 Day 9: After having Breakfast, you will join Mekong Delta day trip ( B/L)

HCM – My Tho – Ben Tre – HCM ( start 8.00 – return 17.00 )

Enjoy the scenic journey along the National Highway bordered by green rice fields. On arrived at My Tho, visit VinhTrang pagoda, take a leisurely boat ride along the river, view thestilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages along the river bank. Proceed to Tortoise islet, have lunch in the orchard garden. Then a boat ride to An Khanh – a less touristy attraction in Ben Tre, enjoy cruising on a hand-rowed sampan under the shadow of the water coconut trees along natural canals, then enjoy seasonal fruit& honey tea to the sound of “Southern Vietnamese folk music“, performed by locals.

Visit a family business which epitomizes the idyllic rural lifestyle, taste the delicious coconut candy& observe the pastoral life as you roam through the fruit plantation and village. Meet the bus and return to HCMC. This trip provides a fascinating insight into daily life in the Mekong Delta and you are guaranteed to take home your own private collection of beautiful memories.
